Earlier this year, the winter olympics were held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The biggest competitor in past years, Russia, was disqualified from the games due to countless investigations and evidence of doping in athletes. This sparked my interest to see the trends between doping, or steroid use, and olympic games. I plan to explore the correlation between doping and the Winter Olympics, to find out for myself whether Russia is actually cheating in the Winter Olympics; and if other countries other than Russia might be using illegal drugs to enhance their performance in these Games.
